Let me begin with Comic Con Wizard World 2014. Of course I brought my camera with me but I was taken back with all the excitement I totally forgot to take pictures. I did have a blast being there and found a ton of amazing artwork and comics to bring home with me! Above and below are a few of the shots I got from that day.
This past Tuesday I was at Kimbro's Cafe during their Deconstructed Song Writers Night. I always try to get over there as fast as I can after I get off from my shift at the Pub. It was a full house that night filled to the brim of musicians and music lovers. I ended up only getting the camera out once Zach Hackett got on stage to play his three song set. So these are a couple of the shots I got along with a video of one of the songs he played. I try to capture at least one artist each week to add to the collection that I have going. I'm also planning on doing a live take away show series featuring two or three songs followed by a Q&A section. The first of the series is in the works now with local favs Pet Chat. Keep checking back for all that jazz or if you would like me to feature you or your band head over to the contacts section!
Alright so this upcoming weekend (the 10th & 11th) I will be taking on the biggest challenge of my career as a photographer by having the honor of shooting soon to be Betsy & Ryan Dempsey's wedding day! I can't tell you how excited I am to be doing this! I've had the privilege of taking their photos for the save the date cards they sent out. Here is one of the photos we got the day we spent together in Downtown Franklin.
I have been getting ready for this wedding for the past couple of weeks now...just reading up and watching some of my favorite photographers and their techniques. I am also going to be shooting a lot of black and white 35 and 120mm Kodak Tri-X film along with FujiFilm's instant color and B&W pack film. Below I am posting a photo of the Mamiya RB67 medium format camera that I just picked up to use as my second camera body for the big day. Testing this camera out has been so much fun and it totally brings a ton of attention my way when walking down the street with it. I've been using it as my walking camera taking polaroids for people. It is a conversation starter for sure. It might have even booked a job or two for me this past week.
Needless to say that I am 100% ready for the weekend and I couldn't be more excited to take on this awesome challenge. I will post more on how everything went and a couple of the shots from the wedding in the next week or so!!!
I am going to finish this BLOG post off with a couple of shots from the portrait shoot I had with John J Kells last week. It was the last official photo shoot in my old studio. I thought the session went great and I had a blast working with John and I think we got the look he wanted. Above and below are a couple of my favorite shots from that day.
So that wraps it up for this update...I'm starting to book some stuff for November so if you're looking to get Senior Pictures, Family/Kids Portraits, Engagement or Pet pictures get ahold of me all my info is in the contacts section! Fall is a great natural back drop for photographic needs! I hope to hear from you soon and thanks for stopping by!
Keep doing what you love...
