So I'd say its due time for a blog update. Just the other day I bought a Pentax P3n 35mm film SLR made in the 80's. I've picked this camera up at least 10 plus times contemplating buying it and finally I just caved and made it apart of the family. I immediately loaded it with my last roll of Tri-X 400 and began to see what this camera was all about. I did cheat a little bit and look it up on YouTube because I wasn't sure on how to adjust the ISO. From what I saw about the camera it got a bunch of great reviews and I did a google image search and it looked like I made the right decision in shelling out the 45 dollars for this forgotten gem. The above photograph was taken of my friend and coworker Ben Brooks. As soon as I got my pictures back from being developed I was completely sold on this camera. Only thing I wish I would have done different is just taken my time a little more with this roll of film. Just due to the fact that it was my last roll of black and white and well in the small town of Franklin, TN it's not really the easiest thing to get your hands on. Luckily I do have a ton of Kodak Color Max 400 speed that I got on discount when Target was getting rid of their film section. I am posting a couple more shots from that roll below.
Okay so I've been working on a short film/music video for a instrumental song I wrote months ago on an old out dated version of Fruity Loops. Since the day I started putting the song together I've had this vision in my mind. I finally started mapping it out on Adobe Story...which by the way is an awesome FREE screen writing program thats makes it so easy for you to layout a script. If you're into writing in that format it's definitely worth giving it a go! I got to start shooting some of the B roll today with Ben who is playing the main male lead roll and his girlfriend Joanna who is playing one of the love interests. This is going to be a love triangle story where the boy doesn't walk away with either of the girls. After I got home from shooting I unloaded the SD cards onto my computer and started going through and trimming down the usable clips. After color grading and piecing them together to the music I started to get this feeling inside of pure excitement. Just the little bit we filmed today fit so well with the music. I can't wait to start shooting the actual scenes. I am just super glad I decided to move forward with this vision I've been playing over and over again in my mind. Due to working two pretty demanding jobs it's going to take a little while to get this completed. I will keep updating the further along I get with all of this. I also intend on doing some behind the scenes stuff when I can get an extra hand on the days we shoot. So keep a look out!
One last thing...I got to do some dog sitting over the weekend with two pretty amazing doggies! I just wanted to share a few of the photos I got from that weekend. I didn't get a chance to scan the funny polaroids yet but I will posts those on Facebook or Instagram.
Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to hit me up on all the socials...keep doing what you love!!!
