Caught this guy yesterday during my many many laps around Main Street in Downtown Franklin. When I stopped the man to ask him if he'd mind that I'd take his photograph he paused and said "Yeah sure. Wait what is this for?" I proceeded to tell him that I have been doing a project of Downtown and the people in it and then I post a photo I've taken each day on my BLOG. After I took the picture he told me that he is from Dickson not Franklin and we both laughed. I just thought he had a great look with the huge jacket, beanie and beard! Thanks for your time Sir.
Working on this project has been so much fun and I can't wait to start putting it all together!
Have a great night and I will see you tomorrow!!

Scrolling through my pictures tonight trying to decide which photo I was going to use for todays POTD I kept coming back to this one. If the Mini Cooper on the left hand side wasn't in this photograph you wouldn't be able to tell if it was from the past or present. It almost has a timeless presence to it.
I got to spend about two and a half hours downtown today getting some photos for the book. Burned through three rolls and even busted out my Nikon F4 shooting some 35mm expired color film that I've had saved up for some time now. I will be developing those rolls either tonight or tomorrow so you'll be seeing those shortly! Super productive day!
I'm going to leave you with that! Have a great night and I'll see you tomorrow!

Sticking with the theme of the Pet Chat Take Away show video release I thought I'd take us back to the day and share one of the many pictures I got of them.
I had such a great time working on this project with you guys and here's to many more!
Have a great day! Stay warm and I will see you tomorrow!

Todays photo is from the Main Street Festival back when the weather wasn't so gloomy! I got lucky enough to catch this young man enjoying some ice cream! This was shot on instant Fuji pack film!
Hope you're staying dry and warm and I will see you tomorrow!!! Have a great night.

This was taken a couple of months ago on a Tuesday afternoon when I was picking up a pizza from Sals Family Pizza. They have the closest thing to east coast style pizza...which is one of the things I miss dearly living here in Tennessee.
I just remember having to pull my camera out because of how awesome the sky looked but I was worried that the photo wouldn't turn out that great using black and white film but looking at it now it came out exactly how I remember the sky looking.
I believe the weather is finally going to start warming up so I can get back to working on taking photographs for my book. I plan on doing a cover photo release in the next week or so along with giving the name of the book. I'm a little over half way done with this project and I'm getting super excited with how everything is all falling together!
So I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and I will see you tomorrow!

Fuji instant film doesn't work to well when it's eleven degrees outside.
Timothy.
This was taken yesterday at Starbucks on 5th and Main. The subject expressed interest in my camera while he was waiting in line for his coffee so I quick stopped him on his way out to grab a quick shot of him. This was shot on Fuji FP3000B instant film. Love the gain of this film it's going to be a total bummer once this film is no longer available!
Stay warm! I'll see you tomorrow!!!

Today I bring you Mr. Leo Moucha! I was lucky enough to catch him at Starbucks when I went to grab my morning coffee. I feel that I captured Leo's personality perfectly here! Thank you Leo!!
Early this morning in the wee hours I had the urge to process two rolls of Kodak Tri-X that I had sitting on the desk waiting for development. I knew the first roll was going to have some great shots on it but I was't expecting to hit all ten frames. This was the first time since I started shooting and developing my own work that I was happy with every single photograph. Huge learning experience due to the fact that I really slowed down my shooting process and took my time with each frame not rushing and missing focus or just shooting to kill the roll. Using the Mamiya RB67 isn't the easiest walking around camera but I just love the look of the photographs it produces.
The second roll I developed was from way back in October when I had the chance to photograph Betsy and Ryan Dempsy's wedding day! This was the first time I got to process pushed film. Yet again another awesome learning experience! I still have two more rolls of color Kodak Portra 400 to send out to get developed from the wedding day and this has given me the push to send those out this week!
I'd say that about wraps up todays POTD! It's absolutely freezing outside! I believe I will be staying in and focusing on developing and editing for the next two days...so have a great day and I will see you tomorrow!

This photograph was taken the same morning as the opening of the Dickens Christmas Festival in Downtown Franklin this past holiday season. I stood in front of this man waiting for him to look up at me but he was to busy fixing his cigar to even notice that I was standing a couple feet away holding my Mamiya RB67 right in his direction. I do remember being excited for this shot when I was working on the developing process. Looking at it now I am still happy with the look and feel of this photograph!
I hope everyone took advantage of the 40 degree weather we had today cause it's going to be super cold the next couple of days! So stay warm and I will see you tomorrow!

I was going through all my negatives today after work mapping out which ones I need to rescan and that's when I came across this one. Before I learned the new film scanning technique I use now I posted this picture on my Instagram. I wasn't very happy with how it turned out so I decided today that it deserved a second chance. I just love the look that this young couple has and I wish I could've worked with them in a more controlled environment to do a few posed shots but this is the shot I got of them! If by chance anyone knows who they are do me a favor and let them know that I would love to work with them on a portrait project!
I believe the next couple of days are going to be absolutely freezing cold outside! So stay warm and don't forget to bring your outside kitty cats inside!!!
See you tomorrow!

Todays POTD is a picture of a place I walk past pretty much every single day and every time I pass it I stop and think how interesting this plant looks. I've tried to take quite a few different pictures of this area before but never been satisfied with the outcome of the photo until I got down on the ground and came at it from a completely different angle. I wanted to also post the negative for this photo cause it looks so crazy with the lines and the stop sign but I couldn't get a quality picture of it with my iPhone!
If you follow me on Instagram you saw me post the above photo last night but I wanted to make sure my Facebook friends got the chance to see one of my favorites from the two rolls I developed yesterday!
So you got a two for one today! Ha! I hope all is well with everyone! Have a great night and I will see you tomorrow!
Timothy...
It was a tough one choosing from the two rolls I just developed today but I narrowed it down to this one. I just remember the feeling when I pushed the shutter release button. It was my second to last frame and I had a really good feeling about the composition with the reflection in the puddles. I just need stable weather to finish up shooting for this book. Im trying so hard to keep some surprises for the release! Ha!
Stay dry! Have a great night and I'll see you tomorrow!

Power lines. This was shot on my argoflex using Ilford Delta 400.
Have a great Friday night and I will see you tomorrow!
Timothy...
This was the first picture taken when I got my Mamiya RB67. I was using Ilford Delta 100 speed black and white 120mm film. I can't tell you how excited I was to get this camera in the mail. Also this camera has a bit of a story behind it due to the shadiness of buying old used things on eBay. I originally purchased the same camera from another seller that said it was in perfect working order and once I opened the box I knew right away that the camera was a dud. My heart sank. I had so many projects planned and had booked a few jobs based on what this camera was capable of producing. I sent the dud back and immediately got another from a different seller. After jumping through flaming hoops I got the working camera I wanted and it hasn't left my side since the day it arrived. I feel as though it opened a whole new world for me. Letting me finally express what I was feeling through the lens. The look and feel of the photographs this thing produces is how I see life. Don't get me wrong I could probably produce the same look digitally but I always felt like something was missing in my older photos. Okay enough of the romantic love story between a boy and his camera...HA
I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve! I have 3 rolls of Kodak Tri-X to develop so I will be posting some of those shots in the next couple of days so keep a look out!
Have a happy New Years Day!!!
Timothy...
Todays photograph is of Shane Whalen. A face I've seen around on Tuesday nights at Kimbro's deconstructed song writers night for some time now but last night was the first time I got to hear him play. Really really great stuff! It's a true shame I always seem to get there right at the end when it's wrapping up but I always seem to catch one gem before the night's over and Shane was that gem!
So I will leave you with that for the day! Work calls! Have a great and safe New Years Eve!!! See you tomorrow!

This is a photo of Kevin Heithcock who you might have seen this week on the giant blue cherry picker parked on 5th avenue working on the Historic Presbyterian Church in Downtown Franklin. I happened to run into him after his day of work ended and he was nice enough to let me catch this image of him. Unfortunately I pealed the polaroid before it had finished developing due to times being off with how cold it was yesterday. But I still love the look of this shot! Thanks Kevin for the photo and thanks for fixing up one of the staples of this beautiful town!
Have a great day and I will see you tomorrow!!!

It was tough deciding which photograph I was going to use today because I had 6 really good shots from my lap around Downtown Franklin. The brief conversation I had with this guy (The Aussie) just makes this picture mean way more than the others did. Coming in a close second place was Downtown Franklins own meter maid giving out a ticket to a teenage girl for exceeding her four hour parking limit. Their faces were priceless after they noticed what I was doing. Thinking back I should have taken a second shot of that moment!
All in all it was a good little walk around session! Hopefully I get some decent weather in the next couple of days to get some solid work done on this book. I'm going to leave it at that today...have a great night and I'll see you tomorrow!!
